Personal Retreat at the Center for Wisdom and Compassion

retreatRoomJoin us for personal retreat at the retreat house at the Center for Wisdom and Compassion. Subject to availability, you can decide when to begin, and how long to stay. We provide single and double room accommodation and all the support you need to make the most of your retreat time. The retreat house has six well-appointed bedrooms and two and one half baths, as well as a beautiful shrine room to provide an inspiring environment for your practice, as well as a well-stocked Dharma Library to support your study.

Personal retreat can be an invaluable way of "intensifying" your home retreat in the perfect retreat environment of the Center for Wisdom and Compassion. You may continue to follow the home retreat program (transmissions or the parallel program) and, at the same time, deepen your personal practice over a period ranging from two days to one year. You will receive advice on setting up your personal study and practice schedule, as well as on-going care and guidance and, if you wish, you may join the resident community for daily group practices.

The Center for Wisdom and Compassion welcomes anyone who wishes to take a contemplative pause in the midst of our busy lives life, respecting the spiritual tradition of each individual. A qualified resident retreat guide will talk with you to help you determine whether a personal retreat is the best option for you, or if another type of retreat or course might be more beneficial for your personal study and practice.

 

Fees

All Retreats at the Center for Wisdom and Compassion must be paid for in full prior to your scheduled arrival date. Retreats of three months or longer may be paid for in monthly installments.

  • 2 - 6 days: $58.00 per/day *
  • 7 - 13 days: $55.00 per/day *
  • 14 - 27 days: $52.00 per/day *
  • $1500. per/ month*

*Fees include accommodations, three meals a day, retreat guidance and care.

Transportation

Albany Airport - Train/Bus stations
1 person: $44 one way per person

Transportation fees will be collected day of travel. Please bring check or cash.
